AFCON 2017: Mohammed Elneny believes Pharaohs will qualify for quarter final

Egypt, the 7 time AFCON champion didn’t manage to score a goal in their first Group game. The game was played against the Eagles of Mali.

Still, the team has a better chance of qualifying to the quarter finals of the 2017 AFCON.

Their performance in the last game dropped their two point and made them stand third in the group. Mohamed Naser Elsayed, the Egyptian footballer says, “We played a good game against a tough opponent. We were really surprised with how good they are in terms of defensive organization. They knew how to stop our key players.’’

The player further added that there are two matches remaining in the group and they have a good chance to qualify. Egypt will play against the Cranes of Uganda in the next group game on Saturday. Their upcoming performance will decide their status in the AFCON 2017.
